In Cienfuegos, known as “the Pearl of the South” due to its architecture influenced by the French (who were the founders of the city), you will do a panoramic tour and a sunset boat ride through the Bay of Cienfuegos (the largest in Cuba) and then spend the night at hotel Pasacaballos. The next day the route through the beautiful Cuban countryside will take you to the colonial city of Trinidad founded in 1514 and declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO. This city tour will take you to the picturesque Old Trinidad (aka Colonial Trinidad) with its cobbled streets, colonial squares, church, museum, monuments, colorful colonial buildings, and handicraft market; this is where you will get the chance to try the traditional cocktail of the region, the Canchanchara.
