Program:
This excursion will take you to the western part of Cuba to the province of Pinar del Rio where the finest tobacco is grown. Located between two mountain ranges (Sierra de Los Organos and the Sierra del Rosario), the Vinales Valley has a unique landscape with its green tobacco fields, its red soil, and its mogotes formations (rounded steep-hill made of limestone and surrounded by flat plains). You will visit a tobacco farm, do a boat ride on the underground waters of the Cueva del Indio (Indian Cave); and then a photo stop at the prehistoric mural. After a typical Cuban lunch you’ll visit a hand-made cigars factory and a rum factory, and do a panoramic tour of the city of Pinar del Rio before heading back to Jibacoa.

Suggestions on what to wear and bring:
Passport (if you go by plane), comfortable shoes and wear, sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, bottled water, camera, cash in small denominations for souvenirs, drinks and tips.
