Mirador de Bacunayagua (Bacunayagua Lookout)

This lookout is located approximately halfway between Jibacoa and Matanzas City, it's on the main road called Via Blanca which connects Varadero and Havana. From the observation deck you can see the impressive Bacunayagua Bridge across a deep canyon over the splendid Yumuri valley. The bridge used to divide the Havana and Matanzas provinces, but after the reorganisation of the provinces in 2010, it now divides the Matanzas province and the new Mayabeque province. You’ll find there an observation deck, several souvenirs kiosks, a restaurant, and a bar serving delicious Pina Coladas made from freshly squeezed pineapple juice and coconut, the barman will hand you the rum bottle so you can decide how strong you prefer to drink it!
